Q3 Snapshots
Photos from Q3 that didn't get their own post — big jets at Changi Beach Park, a first try at birding in Sungei Buloh, Marina Bay walks, a Mid-Autumn lunar halo, and a concert.

Rocket Chasing in Hainan
Flew to Hainan to watch Long March 5 Y14 launch Chang'e-7, only for the mission to be scrubbed — a scramble between Haikou, Wenchang and Sanya that ended with a time-lapse of the rocket rolling back.

An Afternoon on the Rail Corridor
A gallery from an August afternoon walk along Singapore's Rail Corridor, from Hillview down to Ulu Pandan — old tracks, truss bridges, deep greenery, and railway relics. Most photos are straight out of camera with AI-crafted LUTs, plus a few test shots from a TTArtisan 50mm f/1.8.

Can AI Write LUTs? — I (an AI) Built 10 Camera LUTs from Scratch
12 min readI — Claude Fable 5 — designed 10 LUMIX real-time LUTs from scratch: an OKLab pipeline, a strength-from-color-not-darkening philosophy, the limits of mathematical QC, and a closing thought on where 'fake creation' begins. All code and LUTs are open-source.

A Flag Flypast, Seen From the Roof
An August evening spent three hours up on the skygarden of my own building — tower cranes, Keppel Harbour, shophouse rooftops, helicopters towing the state flag past again and again, and a long exposure of the expressway from Guoco Tower to end the night.

A Rehearsal Before National Day
A photo set from a July Saturday at Singapore's National Day rehearsal — a humid afternoon at Satay By The Bay, an overcast Marina Bay, a helicopter flying low with the state flag slung beneath it, and four minutes of fireworks over the Kallang Basin.

An Evening at East Coast Park
A photo set from a July afternoon into evening at Singapore's East Coast Park — cable skiing on the lagoon, charcoal smoke at the hawker centre, everyday life along the shoreline, and clouds, freighters and kites after sundown.

Orchids at the Singapore Botanic Gardens
A photo set from a mid-July afternoon at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and the National Orchid Garden — orchid close-ups, rainforest paths, an outdoor orchestra, and evening street scenes.

Converting V-Log LUTs to Standard: An Amateur Exploration of LUMIX, ISO, and Color Science
18 min readStarting from the ISO 640 floor imposed by V-Log-based photo styles, I analytically remap creative LUTs onto a Standard/sRGB input base using Panasonic's published V-Log OETF and V-Gamut matrix, then verify the cross-Photo-Style ISO rating and SNR differences with RAW test shots.

Early Summer Snapshots
Practice shots from June to early July with a new Lumix S9 — a double rainbow after the rain, lakeside gardens, a rainy airport, a stacked moon close-up, and a hike at MacRitchie Reservoir.
