A collection of photos from Q3 that never made it into a post of their own.

Changi Beach Park
There seems to be a window every Sunday afternoon: within 90 minutes you can catch five A380s and two 747s (both 744(F)). If you love big jets, this is a must-visit.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
I’d been wanting to try bird photography, and happened to join an event where volunteers guided us through some birdwatching practice. Many thanks to the volunteers! Unfortunately I forgot my glasses that day, which made spotting birds a lot harder.
300mm did its best.

A classic moment of Panasonic’s lightning-fast autofocus.

Marina Bay
Looks like the city is getting ready for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.

I tried out the bokeh on this 50mm f/1.8 and wondered why there were no onion rings — then realised the lens is so cheap it doesn’t have a single aspherical element.

That vignetting? Let’s be generous and call it vintage.

Mid-Autumn Festival
The weather on Mid-Autumn night wasn’t great and the moon was hard to shoot, but a full, large lunar halo was clearly visible. This is a bracketed set shot at 24mm, composited with a 300mm shot of the lunar surface — though if you don’t need the surface detail, bracketing seems entirely unnecessary.

Concert
After a look around the pop-up store and its prices, I decided to wait and buy back home. Still, the concert managed to top up the goodwill Kuro Games had nearly burned through. Their live ops still can’t play from ahead, but after the show I’ll be a loyal Kuro fan for another month.
